Mary P. Harding is a 1975 graduate of Brown University, and has always been passionate about art. After graduation, she was an exhibit designer for Strawberry Banke Museum in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and for the Margaret Woodbury Strong Museum in Rochester, New York. She served as director of the Barn Gallery of Ogunquit, Maine for four years. Since 1990, she has been an independent art consultant specializing in regional contemporary art, and since 1996, Harding has curated the contemporary art exhibits for the George Marshall Store Gallery, a property of the Old York Historical Society.

At the end of 2020 she retired from the George Marshall Store Gallery. She will continue visiting artists studios, galleries and other venues and sharing where she goes and what she sees through occasional newsletters which will be posted on this website. She will also continue to help clients find art for their homes and business and assist with installations and provide other consulting services.
